This is asus thread... but I'm also getting 45mins batt life on my Axim x50v ( playing games or using wifi).

Sometimes reviews are not accurate :-(
It's worth the wait...

[quote="PROPortable"] The design of the 730 was made to be the opposite of the 716... someting that would fit in your pocket better and not be as clunky.. The reason the 716 is as big as it is, is because of the battery..

And adding a second battery or slapping on the extended battery makes the a730 that much smaller than other vga ppcs?

And as far as ppcs being "portable", I believe that ppcs should be made as small as possible with consideration to screen size. Why have to carry more smaller items when you can just carry one slightly larger item. Next thing you know, everyone will have a batman utility strapped up with batteries, cables, the whole deal.

With the current sets of PPC, the smaller it becomes, the less functional it becomes. The A730W is for serious PDA owners only.

Yes, you have the 1800mah battery which would give you much longer life..... when you add the extended battery to any pocket pc they get bigger.....

If you need more life, you get the extened battery or carry an extra battery with you.... you have options.... or maybe you can be realistic about your use and don't use more power than you need at any given time. If you're inside in a dim room, you certainly don't need the brightness on 100%..... if you're playng around with solitaire and contact lists, you don't need the system in turbo mode.....

And carrying around the extra battery isn't bad if you're going to need twice the battery life. The battery is pretty darn small and could fit in your wallet if need be. Asus fit a heck of a lot into the 730 and thats the bottom line. If you don't like it, thats your right but I don't see people bitching that they made the worst choice of thier life when referring to the 730..... I have however heard that when referring to a LOT of other things, including some recent pocket pcs.
