A Type III is basically Twice as thick as a Type II card. I'm not sure if it uses both sets of pins (I'm pretty sure sure it uses just one set.) So far the only portable devices that can handle a Type III are Laptops and Windows CE Handhelds. Compaq announced a new sleeve that will handle Type III cards.Last modification: Michael Dubois - 03/10/01 at 09:37:13

The Sierra web site says this is a type II card.  Check it out http://www.sierrawireless.com/ProductsOrdering/400.html

I was gonna say, type III is a really fat card.  I'd rather continue to use my Qualcomm Thinphone at 14.4k just because it's smaller
