Hey all, Just got the Compaq iPAQ GSM/GPRS sleeve from a couple of cool Compaq Reps through work for a weeks worth of fun and testing. Got all the correct settings from T-Mobile (Voicestream) for the Atlanta GA area. I also updated the sleeve firmware to 776 through a softpaq upgrade. Let me say this, talking on it with a wire headset is nice, talking on it holdin git up to your ear is like going back to the 80's with the brickphone scenerio. The GPRS functions on it really cool. I get good signal and speed while browsing and IMing and as soon as I get the money together I will get that PDAwin program that lets me monitor my speed and all. The phone software is ok but nothing like the software that is used in the Pocket PC Mobile edition. If you have any questions or want me to perform any tests please send them my way so I can do it before I have to return the sleeve.
