BETA Test Applicants

BETA Test Applicants

Postby Dan East » Feb 23, 2003 @ 7:16am

The purpose of this thread is to create a pool of potential software BETA testers. Developers can then consult this list of applicants as needed.

We can make note of individuals that have proven to be exceptional beta testers, as reported by software developers. Conversely, we can "blacklist" (remove) applicants who have broken NDAs or otherwise proven to be poor beta testers.

If you are interested in beta testing in general then please post a message indicating the following information:
  • Pocket PC model(s)
  • OS Version (if not Pocket PC 2002)
  • CPU type (ARM, XScale, MIPS, SH3)
  • Notable hardware (Storage Cards, WiFi, GamePads, etc)
  • Hardware Mods (hardware / software overclock, after-market RAM upgrades, etc)
  • PC Connectivity (Can / Cannot Activesync)
  • Any specific user information that would indicate what type of software you frequently use (IE PIM, image viewing / digital photography, gaming, etc)

All off-topic posts will be deleted.

Posts may be edited to standardize formatting or remove extraneous information.

Make sure you include contact information, or at least have contact information properly configured in your Pocket Matrix account so developers can contact you.

Note that you are indicating you are available for generic beta testing. We are not seeking beta testers for Varium at this time. :)

If for some reason you feel you can no longer beta test (no time, no device, etc), then please delete your post from this thread.

Dell Axim X5 400
Pocket PC 2002
XScale
256 mb sd card, wifi
No mods
Activesync

Frequently use PPC for entertainment such as games, divx movies, emulation, and appointments. I really keep no valuable info so hard resets will not be a big problem.

I have beta tested many games for pc (not ppc) and console systems (ps2) and I am familiar with sending in bug reports and duplicating bugs if necessary.
