???
The levels from the custom-levels section at pocketmatrix are working!

Only the preview looks a bit... . It's because the resolution of Palm OS and Pocket PC.

Why aren't the levels working for you? What have you did?

The levels don't work on my Zodiac. I've followed the instructions for them, but have no idea how to get them synced to my device. I downloaded Goro's program, but I have no idea what he's talking about (part of the reason I wanted to use existing levels rather than try to make my own!).

They have to work!!!

You don't have to sync the levels! Use goro's program like this (a tutorial how to import custom levels):

1. Make a new folder (no matter what name you choose).

2. Put in Goro's program and the snails file which YOU use on YOUR handheld.

3. Rename that Snails file to "Snails.prc" (without "").

4. Double click extract.bat.

5 The program made a data.zip file.

6. Unzip that file.

7. Copy the level folder and the .lev files from the level you want to import and paste them into your unzipped data folder: data\levels

8. Compress all of the folders and files.

9. Name the zip file "data.zip" (again without "").

10. Put the zip file in where compress.bat is.

11. Double click compress.bat

12. Sync the new Snails.prc with your handheld.

12.1. IMPORTANT: You mustn't delete the old Snails.prc. Because without that file you can't compress the data.zip, because: compres.bat changes the Snails.prc, it doesn't make a new one.

12.2. Extract.bat makes a new data.zip. So you can delete the old data.zip if you want to.

So, this is an tutorial wrote so that everyone can understand it. If not tell me how to change it!

Greetings!

3. Rename that Snails file to "Snails.prc" (without "").

4. Double click extract.bat.

5 The program made a data.zip file. OK, fine up until here.

6. Unzip that file. To where? A new folder? The same folder?

7. Copy the level folder and the .lev files from the level you want to import and paste them into your unzipped data folder: data\levels I don't have this folder. I unzipped the data into the current directory, and I do have "levels" but it's not in a parent directory "data".

8. Compress all of the folders and files. All of the levels files, or all files in the directory where I unzipped data.zip? Where should I put the new compressed folder?

9. Name the zip file "data.zip" (again without ""). I already have a file called data.zip, that was created earlier. Should I delete this?

10. Put the zip file in where compress.bat is. Assuming that compress.bat is not in the same folder with everything else.

11. Double click compress.bat

12. Sync the new Snails.prc with your handheld. What new Snails.prc? I ran compress.bat and there is no new Snails.prc file that I can find.

You make me sick.

Does anyone have time to explain it again?

Greetings!
Pookie(who is sick now)

PS: Do you other ones who know how to import levels think that this tutorial would help you, if you were in his (mbrown's) situation?

Your tutorial is fine (much better than Goro's), but for someone who has never done any level creation/modification/etc (and has little desire to), it requires some significant clarification. Instead of getting sick, why don't you just answer my questions? Thanks.

Nice tutorial Pookie.. it took me a few times throuhg to fully understand it (just because of the nature of how frickin complicated this editor is), but its clear enough. Once you try it a few times.

I'm thinking we may have to update the snails.pocketmatrix.com site a little and add a version with your tutorial on there.
