Naturally, taking on this task (to extend PF) requires a lot of thought. There are several ways to go about it. I mearly suggested a few.
Regarding Gersens sound extension. I looked briefly at his Game.h/Game.cpp files aswell as the Blit.h/Blit.cpp demo file and I saw no evidence against my suggestions. But, before making any changes one has to look more closely on the whole Sound object to see how to make it fit in the best way, as you also pointed out. For instance, should the Sound::open()/close() calls be public (i.e. called by the client/user class) or private (i.e. called by the constructor/destructor).
And, finally: shure I can have a go at it when the 0.2.4 version is finished. It shouldn't be that difficult. I have a clear view of how to do it.
