PocketHAL for screensaver on Symbian

I tried to make a screensaver in Symbian 60 using PocketHAL but the problem is the library resets the internal innactivity timer and therefore the screensaver immediately exits.

I know this is to keep the backlight on but it would be more convienient (from a screensaver point of view) if it was upto the developer to do this manually.

Can this be added to PocketHAL and in the meantime how can I implement a screensaver without resetting the innactivity timer?

Anyone else tried this?

PocketHAL will reset the inactivitiy timer on the Symbian Serie 60. This is unfortunately required to update the screen.

If you want to write a screen saver, you should consider using the native drawing functions.
