Can someone help me with Loader info?

I am very unexperienced with using libraries. I want to draw a PNG to a PF surface on the desktop. I was told I could use LIBPNG. However, I was also told I need a "loader" (??). Could someone please help me? Does one already exist?

It's not just like that "use". You'll have to setup pnglib to produce exactly what pocketfrog wants. Pnglib is overcomplicated to me.
