Yes, that makes a lot of sense. One idea that comes to mind is to look into Photoshop plug-ins... maybe it's possible to use those as real-time effects... I think many of them are just transformation matrixes, or a set of calculations. It might be worth looking into since there are so many out there already, if they could be used that way it would be an instant capability that would be incredibly powerful.

Another suggestion... it would be very nice if GD contained functions to retrieve the total amount of memory used by an app. It might be even nicer if it could give me total app memory as well as total memory used by surfaces, fonts, etc.
