Gang Warfare release

Postby Guizmox » May 9, 2005 @ 11:22am

I hope it will run on Xscale devices without the 2700g graphic chip. The big question is : How is it possible to develop a FPS for PocketPC because of the lack of good input methods ?!
Kepp the good work !
I'm waiting for the Gizmondo, which will be released in France in about 2 months. Games seems to be good and hardware too (GPS...)

Minor update: I'm spending a couple of weeks working on IF2 again, helping out with some bits of modelling/texture work, so GW is back on hold again for the moment unfortunately...

All of which must be more than a tad confusing for those of you waiting for some concrete info on the game really... For what it's worth though, the game has advanced considerably beyond past screenshots that've been released and I should be definitely be updating the site with info/screens in the coming weeks in any case, at the earliest opportunity..

So, until then basically... cheers for your continued interest!

Thanks for this statement.
Each week I visit www.synoptical.com to see if the page is still blank :)
Let me congratulate you for your work...It seems that developpers must be very passionate to write games for PocketPC : Small market, lack of input methods, no DirectX...)
You're doing a very good work !
See you soon :D

Heh, your best bet is probably just to forget about the game, so that you're surprised when it DOES come out :P

Yeah ! That's the best way to have the nice surprise ! It happens when I wake up on morning : I boot my PC and I go to Pocketgamer.org and I see for exemple : "Warcraft II released" ! :D
...Or for exemple : "Amazing Games releases Speedway Jam!"...But for this game, I guess I can dream ! :(

Hi it's me, i think i'm better known as TheGreatMe now, but "Pookie" is still my old fan account name from the "Snails"-game times.

I have something that is for me important. I wrote a mail to XenGames some some weeks ago, but i didn't got an answer, so i'm trying it this way. I hope you still remember "Stefan Nixdorf". I'm that, and i am one of your beta-testers. I wrote a mail because of having a DELL Axim X50v now, and i heard that you specialize on the newer ppcs and mobile gaming consoles, so i thought it would be important to tell you about that. I'm really excited in your answer. Since i do own this new device i hope we can finally start testing in the next time :) .

Best Regards,
Stefan Nixdorf

PS: You were the very first developer that i got a beta-tester for and since then i made it to get a tester for 20 developers exactly. 8)

but what about 2002 devices?

PS. Screenshot's look great, I can't wait till it's out, and even if it's not for ppc 2002, I'd probably upgrade my PPC just for it

They mean the game will be available in the year 2003.

WOW thats how old this thread is??
