Wotcha Folks,
Nice to see a new forum here !!
You can now play e-mail X-Com-esque games in the form of Laser Squad Nemesis. The X-Com games were based on the original 16 bit game Laser Squad and there is now a new e-mail challenge version (
http://www.lasersquadnemesis.com).
It'd be great if a platform was created to access it via Pocket PC, sending off your moves every time it sync's. For this it's probably be up to Codo Games (
http://www.codogames.com/).
In the mean time you can play Laser Squad on the Pocket PC Emulator ComeBack 64, its got no save function and is not gonna get one as it's not supported anymore but its fun to fill in a few hours on a train journey (anyone wanna take it over, I've got no programming skills at all but someone out there may, or does anyone know of an alternate Commodore 64 Emulator for the POcket PC / Ipaq
)
The best thing though would be a licensed port of the orginal X-Com games as they were superb, or if no licensed port is forthcoming (as Codo were the original creators and are still in business) a similar type of game 'paying homage' to the original
.

One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs, and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. Goodbye, Dear. Goodbye Susan.
