The editor lets you design the dreadnoughts by first laying out the hull from a selection of standard parts, then positioning deck guns, radar towers, fighter launch bays, and shield generators.

cool, so their abilities will be based on where the weapons are placed and stuff?

will it be able to take into account the exact position of a gun turret or will the player only be able to place them in certain areas?

Are the turrets and radars able to be seperately destroyed, disabling the vessel? That is always a good idea. One of the most fun parts of Descent: Freespace.
