It's MUCH better than Total Annihilation. It's a lot more similar to Starcraft, but with less features. I personally hated TA, but that's just me.

Personally, Starcraft has its bad and weak points. I found it insanely difficult at times when playings single-player. I love a challenge sometimes, but some of the missions were insane.
I liked the multiplayer aspect. All three races are perfectly balanced. No one had an advantage over the other. It gets boring after a while, but i play it on and off.

I thought Total Annihilation is pretty good. Kingdoms was mediocre (I never got used to robot mages) If im mistaken, it was the only game that had a ton of add-on units made by the same company.

Chris Taylor, creator of Total Annihilation has just released Dungeon Siege too. Diablo with a little RTS aspects. Played it on a friends computer. If u like Diablo, its great, but the storyline isnt good.

i hated starcraft and warcraft I and II.
i like westwood games much better, i have them all from dune 2 to RA2. no yuris revenge or renegade yet.
