yes it was my mistake, i updated demo.ibl as well and didn't include it in argentum.zip
don't worry, i'll include the fix when we release the new build.

thanks everyone for helping out.

Is it just me, or is there someone else having trouble to control the units?

It's the double-tap that is not recognized properly (maybe 60% of all double-taps are not recognized).
Therefore its a little frustrating, "hammering" the screen and wait until my units finaly decide to move/attack/build.
Maybe it's because of my slow device (Casio E115G @ 133 MHz)?

And there is also no sound (no music, no sndfx).

Besides of that, graphics are awesome!
It's like every pixel is a testimony of the developers high diligence

Quirk--
I think its lag, I'm afraid. I'm not certain, but even my 206mhz device lags when things get busy.

Yes, you are having difficulty controling the game and double tapping because mips devices that are not overclocked all the way to 200 mhz are too slow for the game. I'm sorry, but there's not much you can do, just try disabling sound and explosions and smoke. maybe it will get a bit better.

Actually...

My Ipaq 3650 @ 206 MHz has exactly the same problem. With all memory free (right after a soft reset) even, the exact same lag is there. The game never slows down really, but it's mighty hard to get it to recognize the double-click most of the time. It gets really old to scroll all the way back and re-select all the units and try again in the middle of being attacked.

e125 works well - one lockup but I think it was a fluke

Postby vector » May 1, 2002 @ 4:41am

It seems to work very well on my e125. I had it lock up one time just when I had almost destroyed the enemy command center thing. The music looped and it wouldn't respond to anything. I did a soft reset and beat the first level with no problem the next time. We'll say it was a fluke. I have tons of crazy software on my e125.

I have it installed on a 512MB cf card.

Great game! I used to love command and conquor. This is just like it! I can't belive how similar it is. I never guessed a game like that could work so well on a pocket pc.

Not made for PPCs? PocketPCs are BEGGING for RTSes! The relatively low graphics demand, and mouse based input are what makes RTSes on PPC work so well.
