I think units should have to stay on the map...it's a little weird when you tell one of your guys to go somewhere and he heads off the top of the map.

Also, I think waypoint finding could be greatly improved. I'm on mission 5 or 6 (don't remember which) and I have a lot of trouble doing anything because my QuadWalkers all stop my ITBAs from getting to the argentum, and then they either go the total opposite way than they have to to get somewhere or they don't go at all.

One last thing: I think it would be cool to have a true map editor. I know all you have to do is use PhotoShop to draw a map or whatever, but I don't have PhotoShop, nor any computer artistic skills. If you could have a map editor that had a few template landscapes that you could alter and place units, buildings, etc., I would certainly make some maps on my own...

I can only speak for myself, but I generally only play a custom map once to completion. Hence some lazy usability sugestions :arrow:

Could the custom maps screen allow for the deletion of maps (click and hold brings up a delete OK/Cancel msg box). This would help keep game memory usage to a minimum as well as stopping the need to keep navigating to the maps dir.

A real "nice to have" is once a custom map has been completed, there is the option to delete the map on the win screen.

Another "nice to have" would be the ability to store custom maps in My Documents/path name. This would allow more use of the "send to my PocketPC" and other Windows funcationality and hence not need to navigate to the dir structure to install custom maps.
