Can't get past stage 2!!!

ARGH!!:) I beat the first stage pretty easy, but the second stage (where you have to destroy their food plant and then their command post) has stumped me for hours. I can't get past the two turrets and tanks on the left hand side. I can't get past them no matter what I've tried. I've setup a perimeter of laser turrets and sent about 100 troops and 50 tanks at 'em and I STILL can't get through.

Any pointers?
