Power plant & Radar DEMO

I am new to this type of game. I have figured out how to harvest & build. How do you use the power plants and radar. They are always idle.
I have sent out a marine and found the enemy.

I have sent severals marines out how do I make them attack?

If I can figure out these things I will buy the game.

Once you have harvested enough argentum, you can use those same ITIA's to build factories to generate: soldiers/tanks/planes and so on.

You will need to power plants at that time to provide power to these new facilities.

I have not figured out exactly what radar does yet. It seems to me that it allows one to see all areas of the map.

I simply point my soldiers to where i want them to go. If it happens to be the enemy they always attack.
