The problem with capturing from the screen is the fact that the PocketPC emulator dies all the time, and sometimes it doesn't even work. The crappiest code ever to come out of MS.

Next time we'll use my webcam. It is better... :)

And virtual CE has a maximum of 15 fps (to the display), much less when the processor is actively in use.

// Fredrik

We'll have a decent video up and running soon. Don't worry. If it is with my webcam or using the emulator I don't know...but it will be.

I got Gapi working on the emulator, and everything was running fine and i was making some test videos, Really high quality, using the wm encoder. But suddenly when i was capturing the emulator died on me giving me a coredll.dll error, and after that the game won't start, it always dies with that message. I don't know what's up, when we fix some things up maybe it will work on Fredrik's computer, i don't know. the emulator is frustrating.
This has very little to do with Argentum, other than the fact that Paul suggested making a video with virtual ce pro.

I made a short little video of Nutcracker, using that virtual CE pro program through an ethernet card. It captured about 15 FPS (15 FPS is max), and the playback was okay. The game ran EXTRA SLOW, so the program was able to record and encode the frames into AVI.

I forgot to record the sound (which required me to run an extra cord from my PPC to my laptop). The sound kept breaking up anyway, so no big loss.

BTW, Argentums latest video looks MUCH better. I can actually see the units, and it all makes more sense. PLUS, it's longer :)

Our next video will be from the emulator. The game runs perfectly in it, and you will get perfect quality.

But right now we have lots of other things to do that is way more important than a new video. We've made some pretty nice improvments and a lot of bugfixes lately.

we actually will wait with the release of a emulator video until the game is ready (or almost) for release. The problem I've noticed is that capturing video of the emulator eats performance...but we'll have something nice fo you guys in due time...

I know you want more teasers and stuff, but we're quite busy developing the actual game. So be patient with us.

Yeahm he did. I paid some too (even though I never said I was going to); I put in my whole 5 dollars. I would have contributed more, but it's not like I have cash rolling in these days.

What is Mark doing these days, he just kinda diappeared from the PPC scene altogether after doing that display routine thingy.
