Dan,<br><br>I agree with you and that's why programmers shouldn't be in charge of marketing.  Unless you're trying to avoid an infringment lawsuit, you always go with the name that generates the buzz.  <br><br>Carpe, do you really think Microsoft wanted to call their game console Xbox?  They waited too long to get the marketing machine involved to come up with a name and the the public and press had already been referring to the console as the X-Box.<br><br>Change your story so that in the future a 10th planet is discovered and it was named Argentum because it looks silver, or has silver rings, or something.  Who cares?  Get on with it.<br><br>

thats a darn good point, ideot, gambecube is by far the WORST name for a console ever.  might as well have named it funbox or gamebox (no offense pete) or vidoegamemachine, or Joyconsole, or anything else lame like that; Dolphin (its codename) on the other hand was a sleek, sophisticated sounding name, yet they dropped it for marketing reasons.  It's so very ironic the parallel between the sophisticated name argentum and the dumbed down marketed name war metal.  Nintendo went with the dumbed down version for sales reasons ( = smart); what do you think ionside will do?
