Turn off, turn on...

Postby webba » Nov 19, 2004 @ 12:10pm

Kornalius,

I've noticed this for a while now but kept forgetting to mention it. Apps that use the GameAPI seem to have a problem being turning off and back on while they are running. Soft Reset required. Has anyone else noticed this or could it be hardware dependant (IPAQ 1940). Or is there a bit of code I'm missing?

Kind regards

What is happening exactly? I don't have this problem with my ASUS A620. I can turn the device off and on while a ppl demo (gameapi demo) is running no problem.

Could be your device or PocketHAL too!

The same is on my iPAQ 1930 (WinCE 2003). I run app that uses gameAPI, then turn my PDA off and back on. Black screen (with backlight) and nothing more, ignoring hardware keys, only softreset helps.

No such problems with other applications, fullscreen and non-fullscreen games, apps etc (Except "Black Core Logic" game that has the same problem - black screen after turning off and then back on)
