Cab installation "may not run properly" dialog

Cab installation "may not run properly" dialog

Postby BIGBEN » Mar 6, 2006 @ 12:44am

For compatibility issue I use eVC 3 with PPC2000 SDK. While making the .inf file for cabwiz I just omit the
CEDevice field, also I do not specify any target platform.

Installing my program on some modern PPCs brings up a dialog, something like "This program is designed for older PPC and may not run properly on your device. Do you really want to install it?" Yes/No

How to avoid it?
When wceload.exe brings up this message (when there is no Modern target device specified)?

Any ideas? Thanks :)

Why are you leaving the CEDevice field blank? I think the buildmax is what you want to specify. There's several posts here about it - just search for [CEDevice].
