The atari thing, even the new release (which was not covered in the "News" section) does not work with the only pong game ever made for atari, Video Olympics.  the ball is moving, the controls dont work. But TACOS, especially hich quality FISH TACOS  are a must in a pong game. hah.

roms aren't illegal if you own the original game.  So, you can tell us where the rom is as long as you tell us it is illegal to use it unless we own the original cartridge.  Then, it is our problem.

Yo!  It's not illegal, don't you guys get it?  It's like copying a cd for yourself so you can listen to it at home and in your car.  As long as you own it, you can have as many copies as you want.

Yes, you can copy a CD or any thing else you own. But you can't transfer it electronically or otherwise. I don't care if the other person has it, and neither does the law. I'm not trying to be a nark, but I don't want the site closed down, and I'm sure you don't either.

you CAN transfer it electronically and there a plenty of sites that say that.  Check it yourself.  ROMs are a form of backup and some people can't back them up that way so you can download them and it's easier.  If you're atari breaks but you have like 50 games for it I'm not going to buy another atari!  That's crap!  I'm going to play it on my pocket pc because it's cooler and it is legal to because I paid for it.  However, I don't know how to make a ROM of an atari rom so I download it.  How is that illegal?  It isn't.  Exactly.

oh calm down mose and phat, like you own half the software on your pocketpcs not to mention your desktop pcs.  atari games are basically in the public domain, so it's really not illegal per se, in fact Dan East already said he found a download zipped withj every single atari rom that ever existed, and i sincerely doubt that Dan owns or eve owned every atari game in existence.

thanks JayBot, by the way, if they don't want you to post on the forum where to get roms, email it to me?  or talk to me on AIM or ICQ?

Ohhh.. Jay Mattis. Wow an illegal site with pornographic advertisements tells me it's ok? Well I'll jump right aboard then, naive dip _______ (999, why do you make me restrain from name calling? :)). Maybe you should educate yourself. "Hey look, this illegal site says I can keep it for 24 hours with no problems." Does that mean I can keep marijuana legally for 24 hours? How about drink under age for 24 hours or even minutes, seconds? Maybe I can drive at 12 without a license for 24 hours too! Right. Think a little, ok? And grab yourself a law degree so you can atleast know what law you broke.

Hey, you know what Moose?  I DO know what I'm talking about.  I didn't say anything about that 24 hour crap did I?  No!  Why don't you address the problem instead of name-calling and acting like a jackass.  WHY IS IT NOT LEGAL TO HAVE ROMS IF YOU OWN THE ORIGINAL GAME?  IT IS!  OBVIOUSLY IF YOU BOUGHT SUPER MARIO YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY IT ON A POCKETPC AS WELL!  Plus, even though the AdvanCE was an April Fools joke, was that not endorsing emulation?  They even had a fake ROM!

OMG, calm down kids.  Owning, creating, or distributing a copied ROM of a game is illegal.  It is copyrighted intellectual property that, none of which will be in the real public domain until the year about 2060 (for atari anyway), and that's if they don't renew their copyrights, which they might do if they're bored enough.  However, on a realistic side, Moose, how are you playing your PocketSNES, with legal roms made directly for the public domain? (which suck and are complete cheese), I highly doubt it.  Also, as far as I can tell, Atari went completely backrupt, and was bought out by Midway, and is now known as Midway West.  Which is strictly arcade games (Gauntlet) oriented, up until now (recently Midway basically threw in the towel on arcades, saying they will make no more) and any profits or royalties that impossibly could be made from Atari games, are usually just ports from Midway themselves (stupid arcade collections volume 1 for PS and others)!  Therefore, profit off of any royalties and such would go straight to themselves?  The point is, yeah they're technically illegal, but it's also illegal to not register Winzip after 30 days. :)
