Whatever you say. Wolfenstein is not the best game. Technologically it wasn't the most advanced either. I don't even think it's to fun a game, but it's an opinion (except those facts about the technology being antiquated).

I think "Wolfenstein" is the name of that castle, think of the name of the new sequel "Return to Castle Wolfenstein". I think the funniest thing of that game was to hear those americans trying to speak german. If you've ever heard one, you'll have to laugh. Sounds - well, different.
Did you know that Wolfenstein is forbidden in Germany, although almost every computer-owner got it? (You do, I've already told you, but I haven't had any answers on that - so...)

Why was it banned in Germany? I can't imagine it was because of the violence and graphical content. Was it because of the Nazi's (that doesn't make any sense).

Yeah, that's true. And think of what they did to Half-Life! When you shot a scientist they just sit down to the ground and shake their head. Shoot again and they disappear... :( :( :(

Moose, when was the first time you ever played Wolfenstein?

I distinctly remember playing it in 1992 and was astonished at how fast it ran on my 386 SX. At the time, I do not remember a single game that "WOWED" me as much as Wolfenstein.

I can't seem to find a single source that doesn't refer to Wolfenstein as a HUGE influence and technical leap in gaming. I have no idea who's ass Moose pulled his info from.

It was because the Nazis and the Hakenkreuzes. Do you remember Indiana Jones 3? And "Schloss Brunwald"? It took the german artist weeks to remove the Hakenkreuzes! Sometimes I hate living in Germany - but sometimes I love it. What do you Americans have about sex? No sex with lights on? No kisses on the street? Gosh, I'll better stay here... And when I think of being killed innocent because someone dislikes me and wants me to die (by capital punishment or whatever you call it) and tells the judges some shit - I love Germany...

The N.A.Z.I. party is not Germany's proudest moment. I'd ban it from my country too if it contained stuff like that.

Hey, I forgot what N.A.Z.I. stands for (I hope you guys new it was an acronym). Shapeshifter, have any idea?

Ya, Shape, you Europeans are very touchy feely. Don't respect my personal boundaries at all!
AHHH, don't TOUCH ME! AHHHH... !!! ;D

That's odd about the Nazis and Hakenkreuzes.

America tends to have it's hangups regarding sex, but if you ask me, that is mostly the influences of the conservatives and religious right. With "W" in the White House, it certainly won't be getting any better any time soon. (I thought it was a huge step when we found out Clinton was gettin' BJ's while in office) :)

Cities like New York, Las Vegas and San Francisco are a little more open.

As far as kissing on the streets, there doesn't seem to be a huge lack of that- especially around universities and high schools.

Wait wait wait... openness about sex is good? What do you mean? Anatomically speaking? Or just raw sex? Because that's disgusting and should be left alone. I think people are way too open. Why are all these teenagers having sex anyway? Ugh.. nevermind. Insecure losers like that won't listen anyway.

Um, there are plenty of Neo-Nazis and skinheads here in America. THAT is not something to be proud of. What happens to neo-Nazis in Germany in this day and age?

The rise of Hitler and the Nazi party is part of Germanys history. It doesn't need to be embraced, but trying to ignore, deny and forget it would do more harm.

Uhm, Moose, AFAIK it's short for Nationalsozialist. Babylon says: Nationalsozialist: national-socialist, Nazi, Member of the german Nazi party, the NSDAP (Natoinalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter Partei) I could tell you more than four times as much as you ever wanted to know, 'cause they're telling us at school about them all the time. I've stopped listening, all I hear now is "Nazi...bad...not become one...hated...". Sure, I hate them, but it's simply too much...
Oh, and Nazionalsozialismus is a point of view that means "All foreigners and all people which are different (think of jews, persuaded because of their religion) are forced to leave the country"

Well, I have to admit there is a minority of them. They even got a new party, somehow, the NPD (kinda remembers me to NSDAP). But nobody likes them or votes the NPD, maybe the 1% of the german that is national-socialistic...
I REALLY HATE THEM
