I like digging, and FUN! Dig Dug was the funnestes game out there! And it still is the funnestes game out there. I could play it for hours! actually only about 5 minutes, but Digging and Fun go together like bacon and peanut butter!
(do I need to add a tilde there or what? Maybe just a smily will do)
;D

Could you please implent:
-an equalizer
-wmf support
-maybe those lines showing how loud the music is (you know what I mean - visual effects - Desktop Media Player and WinAmp got 'em and they look kinda cool)
Be sure to get 999 for the GUI!
999: ;) See this as a compliment
-Shape

I personally NEED an equalizer with any audio player. I can't do without one. I couldn't care less about WMF support.
I also like the ability to use visual plug-ins. Like the Spectrum Analyzer (Shapeshifta, that's it's name) and a voice print. But all you'd have to do is implement a plug-in system. Others could code those in. Hehe, as long as they run in real time with the music. I remember a while ago the spec analyzer would be a second or so behind in Winamp, making it completely useless. Same with Voice print.

I see that you've already been bombarded with feature requests already, but a really cool feature would be support for the ogg vorbis audio codec. It kicks wma and mp3's butt's, so that would be cool.

www.vorbis.com
og-vorbis codec support, equalizers, wma audio, oh yes, just give me three more minutes and I'll have all that in there ;) I'll do that, right after I get this 'PLAY' button to work.

Actually, I haven't touched C, C++ or Windows programming in 4 years, but this little project is definitely jogging my memory. I wonder if it'd be easy to have PocketPC recognize a floating window, like the floating WinAmp window on the PC. It seems that since the pop-up keyboard seems to work pretty well, that a pop-up MP3 control bar would work just as fine, but I'm just speculating.

I'm going to work hard to get some music out of my little program tonight, and if I can then by Saturday or Sunday I'll have a GPL'ed program to share.

- Richard

Make it easily skinnable and you'll have everyone bombarding your website to download it.

Make it good to be used in background mode and people will use it more often. IMHO.
