There already is an unofficial release available:
http://www.pocketmatrix.com/cgi-bin/forum/welcome.pl?board=Pocketquake&action=display&num=158
It will not run well in landscape at all. Just look at how much the god given iPaq slows when switched to landscape.
All us MIPS users will now wallow in our inferiority to the iPAQ, thanks to 999. Is this a BrightHand post 999? Moose? I didn't think so.

I had to say that 999

Sorry, I wasn't dissin' the MIPS brethren out there

Just pointing out a misconception in Moose's previous post regarding landscape mode on an iPAQ.

Brighthand? No, that place is it's own entity, and quite a respectable one at that. I post there regularly as well.

hhmm.. I remember those lengthy "discussions" about the ipaq and casio over at brighthand with 999...

always came down to the same darn thing... its all about what the user needs/wants/prefers. There's no ultimately superior or inferior pda. ipaq's have it for speed, casio for reliability.. well mostly.. and gaming, and hp's for "tank-like" durability. list can get long but we'll save that for a brighthand post now, won't we?.....

erm... won't we??
Hiya Cookie319:

If memory serves me correct, it was your replies on BH which were "lengthy"

I think my longest posts there were instructions for a fix of sorts. Oh well.

well.. hmm.. guess so.. I think mine tended to be lengthy coz I had to reply to other ipaqqers as well.

Ok, I admit it, I did write a lot just to make myself content that I got the 'casio rules' message through. hhmm.. and my frustration that the ipaq tends to be overrated by the media and steals all the spotlight from the casios...

I do feel pretty good having gone through that though. gave me a good perspective on ppc's.. and probably applicable to other products as well.

haven't been on the ipaq board in a long long time though. Have been more selective with my time. These pocketquake discussion are inspiring me to do programming... or at least look into it.
Glad too see you're back none the less Cookie

The boards can always use someone with your tact and insight

Hope ya come back to programming, the CE cause could use ya. Heck even I'm starting to learn, albeit very slowly
