Porting to Jornada 720

Porting to Jornada 720

Postby doob » Mar 6, 2001 @ 11:03am

No, don't get all exited, I haven't done it...

What I want to know is, is it possible? It would certainly be a better device to play on, what with having a real keyboard and all. I know the GAPI stuff supposedly does not work on HPC2000, but at least one game (well, emulator) I run won't run with out it (PocketGB). I am attempting to port PocketQuake to the Jornada, but I really do not expect any sort of success, what with having a VERY limited knowledge of C (and I can't stress enough how bold the 'very' should be). Any help would be much appreciated.

I will of course let you all know if I have any success...

You don't really have to know a lot of C to make a build for your device, i have no clue of the specs of jornada 720 but if you want to build it you shouldn't have a lot of trouble, It may use GameX acceleration instead of GAPI, for reference of how to use it go to www.cewarez.org and then go to jacco's (phantom) page and download his EasyCE engine and learn GameX.

Last modification: CARPEDIEM - 03/11/01 at 10:55:09

No, you don't need to know how to program in C, in order to program in C. Just randomly hack at the code, and post lots of questions. All great programming feats are accomplished in that manner.

Dan East

Uhm, your sarcasm went through, but did mine?
Alright, here's a new English rule. When being sracastic, at the end of a sentence, don't put a period (.) put a tilde (~). That is a new English rule that I came up with. How about that?
