Kynolin's White Screen Fix

X51v

Postby Morson » Jul 30, 2006 @ 11:44am

When I try to run the game without the white screen fix, it simply plays sound effects while not displaying game data; however, when I install the white screen fix, the bottom half of the interface becomes corrupt. The game is still playable, but I can't figure a way to correct this - if it even is correctable on an X51v.

That said, landscape mode looks good but I can't figure out A) How to exit the menu after changing the video resolution (I only have a command bound to opening the menu, not closing it - what would I do to fix that?) or how to switch weapons if I indeed can play that mode? I'd rather have the screen bigger and no corrupt graphics if possible, so this would be ideal. :)

Thanks! And keep up the great work..

Are you referring to Kynolin's fix or to Guest's revision?

Kynolin's fix works for my Pocket Loox 720 (go into options and change to landscape for a better display) but I am having trouble actually playing the game, because I need a mouse and/or a keyboard as the control pad on the PL720 is awkward and I can't move properly with it (probably due to my own cack-handedness).

I tried Guest's revision, but found the ESC didn't work for me (I assume by "flash key" Guest means the key on the left, marked with the "flash" icon, just below the jog control), which is the same key for ESC as in Kynolin's fix. Because the ESC in Guest's revision didn't work for me, I couldn't change orientation to actually *try* to play.

Hopefully, someone with some programming skill *will* be able to make Pocket Quake run succcessfully on the Loox before too long ...
I really want to put my Sig Image here but I would get banned. :(

Now i habe a HTC Universal Clones (QTEK 9000) and Pocket Quake 1 show a white screen... So i read this and try it, but so slow, is not xscale optimize? So i installed Microsoft EVC++, standard and Windows CE 5.0 libs, a 30 day trial Intel C++ Compiler 2.0 version and compiled it with options for PXA25x/PXA26x/PXA27x processors.

For HTC Universal Clones a faster version can you download on: http://www.herz-power.de/pq.php

Too long
