well at least that's relieving that the problem wasn't something we did, but rather a quake / root kinda thing.. like the long load times with WM 5.0 and internet access. I live my 6700, but it looks like this is one aspect it suffers from. Most of the other guys on my team are using 2002 or 2003 devices and they don't take as big a hit as I do. mine has to be the worse.. from like 12 fps down to 4-5.

Might need to rethink some gameplay elements given this issue. wouldn't be fair to expect people with this problem to have a good experience trying to play in first person. Not to mention this will actually help us keep smoother maps since fps mode kinda made maps that ran great in third person potentially suffer if you looked in the wrong direction in fps mode.
