@HighTymes: Where did you get the X30? Dell will sell it from the 24th on. I think the score is really to low for the X30 High. Somebody here with an h4150 tuned up to 530 MHz got 29,6fps in Portrait.

Haven't you heard? Most of the companies are either leaving the PDA market or are being forced out. I'm not sure why this is, but there will only be about 5 providers in about a year. ASUS better make their last PocketPC a real spectacle so they have a chance at returning to the market later.

Anyway, back to benchmarks.
Has anybody gotten PQuake to run on a PPC emulator?

What would the point in that be?? why not just play normal quake full speed and full screen on the pc.

23.3 fps, hmmm, sounds about right
would have been nice to see it at 27 or 30.

But the first xscale devices were quite slow, ie A600 compared to A620.

Then again maybe 2003 second edition has a bearing on the result?

I think we need to see other models before we make too many assumptions about the speed of the processor.

Afterall the X30 is a value device, maybe they cut some corners, (just speculation, don't flame me!)

And Pocket Quake isn't WMMX optimised is it? that could add some fps to the final score.
