Small Request

Small Request

Postby Fuzzy John » Sep 4, 2002 @ 7:00pm

Can you please add tap and hold support in the Name/Rename boxes? This would apply for the File Manager and the Registry Editor as well.

Thanks,
John

Hi. Can you elaborate further on what you have in mind? Do you mean tap-holding in the Edit box where you enter the filename?

I think he wants to like double-tap a box and "lock" it in moving mode, like you can on most laptops. But I could be completely mistake as I don't see the point in this.

Sorry...
I mean using tap and hold to bring up a standard context menu... Cut, Copy, Paste, Clear and so on. Could be of value pasting registry key names, value names, data and more.

That's a good suggestion. I may add that capability to all the edit boxes in DEXplor in the near future. As a note, it is possible to Cut / Copy / Paste to any edit box already (just without a custom GUI for it). You can use Ctrl-X, Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V for Cut / Copy / Paste, respectively.

Right, except that my main input method is the letter recognizer and not the keyboard. For now I have GigaTask set to perform these actions from it's custom menu, but tap and hold is the prefered method.

Thanks,
