sry my ignorance, but this optimizations and those codes... isnt it easier to make them in a new PocketQuake release :wink:

if not, they work in all devices? even with the iPAQ1910? or just 400Mhz XScale powered devices?

it's quite easy to modify autoexec.cfg.
just open it in notepad and add the optimizations(see optimizations-thread for detailed information) and voila.
some people prefer more speed, some prefer better visual quality, i prefer a mix :wink:

open it in notepad on your pc, edit it and copy back to your ppc. that's it.

moose' tweak with glyphcache also speeds up asus/zayo !

The glyphcache speedup should work on ALL devices, from SH3 to the newest XScales.

Just for the records.
Casio E200, exactly the same autoexec.cfg like Mali posted. GLYPHCACHE set to 16384 I get 10.4fps.

Resco File Explorer 2003 and Icbar is running in the background.

HLM\System\GDI\GLYPHCACHE

Edit the "limit" value, should be 8192. I doubled it to 16384. If you've got a lot of free RAM on your PocketPC then double that again to 32768. Remember to soft reset your device after editting the registry or else they won't take.

doubled my jornada 720 value to 65536.
the hole device runs the double speed and when overcloked (missspeld) it beats the shit out of all pocketpc´s

Check the benchmark thread for an unoptomized benchmark on the e330, then come back here and apply some of the tweaks to get it higher than that, if you so desire.
