Frederick, I just have two quick questions: One, do you need amy more sound effects (and can I get at least a little credit for the one's I have done already)? Two, are you going to want music in the game eventually? I've discussed this with Carp and he said that it would be cool, but it's the last thing on your mind at the moment.

before its' too late, could you make it to so where you can load the maps you want seperately (even in a campaign), for those of us who are memory restricted (i.e. a poor high school student like me)?

Digby's Tip of the Day:

When the Windows CE OS loads a DLL, it caches a copy of the DLL's initialized read-write data section. This is done so that when another process needs to use the DLL, the OS doesn't have to reload the DLL - it simply allocates a buffer and memcopy()s the contents of the cached section to the process' address space. (The code and read-only sections can be mapped into the new process' address space directly - no copy necessary)

This means you want to minimize the initialized read-write data in your DLL. If the data can be made read-only, do so by marking the chunk as 'const', or storing it in the resource table. If you have preinitialized data that needs to be modified, then allocate a buffer in DllMain and copy the data from a file.

Jaybot:
Nice review of E3, You are really a lucky man!.
Listen, you and anyone can help us in anyway you want to, and if we end up using the things you gave us you'll get all the credit you deserve of course.
There's someone else also interested in making music for the game and sent us some samples and it's very nice, it just needs some retouches and that's it.
You can also compose music if you feel like it, if we like it we'll include it too :o)
Just remember that we need short wavs that will repeat over and over and over.
C ya.

What Carpe is trying to say is that we are happy for all help, but that we will be a bit strict on what we use and not use. Personally I haven't even heard any of Jaybots soundclips.

As for music it is a bit tricky, because the cutscene music should fit with the story of that special cutscene...and we don't want to give away the story to everyone, because that would spoil some of it.

// Fredrik
