I think it would be neat. I wouldn't be using much, though, because I connect through phone line. But I sure think it would be nice to talk to you guys in real time.

I hate chat rooms and I'd never go to it. All the fun stuff about the forums would go straight to the chat room, making the forums miserable (as long as the chatroom actually does get used. Not many have mIRC, too. It's just, not a good idea.

I would think it would eliminate some of the daily banter on the forums. Whether that is good or bad is a matter of opinion.

The "Anything" forum could be less used if you have the chat.

Not that I dont like chat, but I have to agree with Moose. A chat could kill the forums.

We could make a chat that's just open - let's say on sunday for 2 or 3 hours...

I think a Chat should be something for like when there's over a certain number of people on the website that just want to chat.  Sometimes I don't mind reading the forum as it gives good insites and sometimes is funny to read.
