How do you become a PM "Insider"?

What is so special about the insider feature?

A private discussion, special contests, influence on where PM goes. You become an insider by registering, ans basically prove yourself worthy by posting useful stuff, and not making a nuisance of yourself.

it must be holiday time as I'm not coding

I was looking at a thread (in the anything discussion) and noticed several posters were PM Insiders rather than members, most had huge No's of posts & were names I recognised as major contributors so I started looking into who was & who was not a PM Insider just for fun. On the whole those who are PM Insiders seem notable names but there are a small number who are not so there's some other criteria which I cannot figure :?:

possibly pester power or peer pressure

The people you don't know are most likely people that gained our respect by holding their own in a good argument or such. Not to mention all the name changing people do.

Alot of the insiders with few post are from the developer forum, and I like developers, so I made them insiders.

Seeing the pm insider title under my name fills me with pride every time I look at it. I think to myself, "Cool, I've been a helpful and productive member of pm and I've been rewarded for it." Being an insider really is an honor.

Exactly. It's not that hard to get in, either. All I needed to do was swear allegiance to the Canadian flag a few times, don my mountie attire and defeat a few polar bears in hand to hand combat.

All I had to do was eat drink a lot of beer, eat a lot of pizza, argue a lot, write articles on pocket pc games and how to destroy your casio device in 6 easy steps, and help develop a few games. Easy!

So just follow those guidelines and in 3 years or so, you too can have a shot at becoming an insider!
