Sorry, but do you mean "nope" to EVERYTHING I asked about, or just "nope" about Quake 2?
Also, I just bought the e805 and see a huge difference in all 2D apps, including super fast web browsing (through built-in wi-fi; almost as fast as my PC on cable now) as well as 2D games like Argentum, but I see absolutely NO difference in performance of either Quake.
I am figuring now, from the standpoint of a relative newbie, that this is because both of Dan's Quake ports that we all have access to were written for the traditional Pocket PC's that never had any graphics hardware onboard, and thus were coded for software rendering only. Am I on the ball with this one?
Finally, I do recall that Dan has been working on another port of Quake I (OpenGL ES), re-coded to use the Imageon 2300 hardware on a 400MHz Xscale device. The test device mentioned in that forum sounds very close to my e805. Is there any download area where I could gain access to this new port in order to test my e805's 3D acceleration capability for the first time?
Thanks any & all who can reply . . .
