JJB, you may have converted it from one format to another, but the actual design and concept were the fruits of my labor.

Please give credit where credit is due, you did not design the PM logo, I did.

Chris:

What if I don't make a ProPortables logo, but let's say a real kick ass PocketMatrix one, does that still make me eligible for the prize?

Oh yeah, was there a prize for the logo u've been using for all these years? ;) jk

I don't think PM has a plan to change our logo at all. This is more for using our logo in a unique way, and designing a new PROPortable logo.

999, I think JongJungBu was joking. It was me that cleaned up your logo. Though I take no credit for the creation of the logo. It was your hard work that went into it, and it is you who has the credit of our logo.

If you guys could read the rules, you wouldn't have as many questions.... do a logo for whoever you like. Neither myself, nor anyone here or at PM is going to tell you what we're looking for and how to do it. Follow the rules and see what you come up with. This is NOT using anyone's logo in a creative way..... The LOGO part is to make something which would represent PROPortable or Pocket Matrix... To represent us it has to say alot about what we do and who we are. Lets see... we build and sell mobility... we know our products inside and out.... we make new friends, not customers... Those ideas, in my view anyway... are more than enough to give someone some great concepts. The hard part is not overdoing it. Keep in mind that this will be on t-shirts, stickers, on our site, in magazines.... Look at successful logos and such and if you can't figure something out.... just do the 2nd part of the competition.

For the 2nd part.. the banner... that is where you'll use all of our logos... the banners must have asus, proportable, pocket matrix's logo... unless there is a good reason for only using one or two of them. Then take a picture of it and that is the entry. THAT is what Chris was talking about as far as using the logo in a creative way.

About Chris saying PM doesn't need a logo.... They weren't initially looking for one, but we figured we'd give you the option. IF it's really good, I'm sure Chris will consider changing the current logo...

Glad to hear that... When I read the rules on 'PROPortable' I had some doubts if you really included the PM logo as well. And those posts before almost shocked me -> I have already started to make a PM logo. So I can sleep well now... ;)

It really is a shame that you cannot send it a logo for PM AND for PP... but I came up with an idea for PM first - sorry :(

LMAO

Listen to this..

First i did 3 logos and send them in. Later i realized i was only allowed to send one logo in. So i wrote another mail with one logo included..

Fine...untill i realized i had done a PocketGamer.org logo

So i did a pocketmatrix logo and send it in...

They will have 4 e-mails or something from me in the contest inbox...I feel like a dumbass..

Edit: And know i remember i'm only 15 years old,, not 18.. But i asked my dad about this...Is it okey if i have parents permission? But i'm doing the logo?

:?

Since you were one of the first to send in a logo, I'll delete your first 4 emails and keep that last one.

I think I'll change my mind.. if you guys really want to do one for both of us... go for it. We'll judge each one seperately. But please, keep it to a max of two and ONLY do it if you think you've got something good going.

LOL!

I just did the exact same thing today with a print ad. I did an ad for our company DBA instead of our client, because I thought our DBA's name "was" the client's. Yes, I am now aware of our company's dba.

:)

Oh yeah, I read the rules twice, but they're so "relaxed" that they're actually a tad confusing. Remember, you're targeting designers, we don't like numbers, there's too many of them and stuff.

i know what you mean.. We may try to tighten them up tonight for that reason. We've gotten a lot of questions. We left it pretty open so that we could let the creativity flow and made two ways to enter so that creative people of all kinds could find a way to enter. We'll have the professional graphic artiest on one extreme, and the streakers running down 5th ave with our logo on their back.... Now, you tell me.. what other contest gives you that much room to work?

By the way.. anyone with ideas of how to tighten up the contest, let me know. Most sites won't even post a link to the contest till tomorrow, so we can adjust the rules so they are more clear.

Can we hang the "banner" on a website, rather than on a real place? I'm pretty good at Photoshop so I'll give this competition a go. 8)

I think photoshopping the banner somewhere is cheating.
