ScummVM 0.7.1 testing begins

Postby Arisme » Jan 16, 2005 @ 1:39am

Twinks73> thanks for the suggestions, they're always welcome, especially if you read the code :D This part was much cleaner at some point, but it got worse when I decided to add support for several colors coding and wanted to work around an EVC bug regarding template functions. I'll try to clean it up a bit soon :wink:

Enjoy720> Can you post the content of your scummvm.ini file when ScummVM crashes ? I'm a bit worried by the resolution values given by SDL here (240 isn't right, and 31x104856951 sounds really, really bogus). Did you get the same information from the previous working build (0.6.1b I think) ? Can you launch a game ?

PocketScumm 0.7.x

[scummvm]
aspect_ratio=false
fullscreen=true
lastselectedgame=monkeyEGA
master_volume=192
multi_midi=false
music_driver=auto
music_volume=192
native_mt32=false
savepath=\Storage Card\PocketScumm 0.7.x
sfx_volume=192
speech_volume=192
subtitles=false
versioninfo=0.7.0

[monkeyEGA]
landscape=true
language=en
path=\Storage Card\mi_demo2\
platform=pc

I am using GAPI v3.0 from www.wincesoft.de and I can lauch games perfectly. I will try using a different gx.dll.

-----------

PocketScumm 0.61b works with no problems, It shows only SDL driver wingapi display 640x240 and it creates the following .ini

[scummvm]
versioninfo=0.6.1b

[indy3EGA]
CE_landscape=false
language=en
path=\Storage Card\mi_demo2\
platform=pc

Many thanks!

One thing I have noticed is that if I remap the left and right click buttons to be the volume up and down keys (since they are easier to access when holding the phone on the side) they then don't work in BASS. Therefore the only way to get out of the game is to remove the phones battery.

Hope this helps.

Support for IPAQ 63xx Series

Postby terminalsanta » Feb 1, 2005 @ 2:44am

Hi,

Are you planning / do you have support for the IPAQ 63xx platform?

Cheers

nice job Arisme on this build. What a night-day performance difference on my SMT5600 WM2003 smartphone! Looks like the kids educational games work now (like the Putt Putt & Fatty Bear stuff) - which will give me a way to distract my kids when we're stuck somewhere!

yep, all games supported by ScummVM should work now :wink: any link to the Ipaq 63xx characteristics or any reason why it shouldn't be supported ?

Hi!
In my MIPS machine the games seems to work perfect with 0.7.1 :D

I'm playing "The Dig" and I would know the videos that load the game in every part.
It's possible to see in PocketScumm some kind of debug information? A debug window like ScummVM or debug information in a txt file...? It's possible? (or something similar...)

thanks!

Mmmm.. "The Dig" crashes when going in a Ramp on the cave. It seems exatly the same problem that appeared in 0.5 version:
http://www.pocketmatrix.com/forums/view ... 785#158785
Appears the debugger with a "ImuseDigital-cloneToFadeOutTrack" error

My machine uses PPC MIPS 0.7.1 version
I'll try with 0.6.1b (not recognize my savegames, I've to start the game again)

thanks for the work!

Jornada 720

Postby giuper » Mar 26, 2005 @ 3:16pm

On my Jornada 720 i have the same error: Junk found in the line 3.
I have seen that in line 3 there is a blank line.
Removing it with an editor, doesn't solve but the
error message is different.
If i edit the game (adding something) in the file ini, the number of line change. Always a blank line.
By the way, if i remove scummvm.ini the emulator works.

Thanks for help!
Giuper.

PS. Sorry for my English!

Tested without problems also on iPaq4100 and on iPaq6340, not mine :-(

Thanks for reply immediatly, but is it possible to have a new build for HPC 2000 (Win CE) for Jornada 720 ?

With the first build (10-01-2005) there is always the junk line error.

Thanks, Giuper.
