rotation and AlphaBlt()

hello,
you can rotate images with Blt, but not alphaBlt according to the docs? is this true?

i am writing for symbian, i want to add images with transparency (using a mask) and rotate them as well. Is this possible? what is the best way to go about doing this?

am i to assume then that there is no way to rotate an image with any sort of transparency on symbian with gapidraw?

Wrong, you can use Blt and mask away a color using the COLORKEY flag. You cannot just do variable depth alpha + rotation. The reason is it not there is that it's simply too slow without hardware acceleration.

i see... thanks for the explaination.

i will need to make a few rotated images, but not many. the rest will need to be dealt with by using the MIRRORUPDOWN flag and crafty programming ingenuity... *sigh*
