i got quake 1 and 2 from here:
http://www.herz-power.de/pq.php

quake 1 runs at a pretty good framerate. quake II's framerate is acceptable, it could be better when the kaiser gets 3d drivers.

i also have a video you can find on my profile of me running duke nukem and wolfenstein + SOD. that i will post in the Wolf section of the forum.

Cool. Thanks for the vids. Pocket Quake 2 is software rendering only, so it won't get any faster than that even if the device has 3D hardware / drivers.

dang..atleast quake 3 will tho.

are you sure tho? i mean the qualcomm cpu wouldnt be an accelerator, just simply a driver.

I'm sure there is no code in Pocket Quake 2 that makes use of 3D hardware or any other type of acceleration. Every pixel is rendered purely by Quake 2's software engine.

Hi folks, I'm trying to download a good and "latest" version of Quake2 to run on my HTC 8525 Hermes and a HTC 8925 ATT Tilt... but I can't download a good version.

I finally could run the Quake I on the HTC 8525 but I need to configure the "Esq" button, will look on autoexec...

Please, help me with the Quake II files... I also need the complete install instructions because I'm reading different instructions in different websites...

Thanks!!!

it seems the the escape button is coded into the .exe.
the only thing about escape i was able to find is at the very top of the config.cfg file, and thats:

bind "ESCAPE" "togglemenu"
