3ds animation support, ETA on POD and PVR formats for iPhone

3ds animation support, ETA on POD and PVR formats for iPhone

Postby rbgames » Jul 20, 2009 @ 12:45am

What formats support bones based animation? Does the .3DS and resulting .e3D using the conversion utility support bone based animation?

Also, through SetJointSettings one can manually position bones correct? If I wanted to programatically move bones in our character for instance.

Thanks,

Hi,

The file format 3DS doesn't support bone animation unfortunately. This is only possible by loading the Milkshape (MS3D) format.

You should be able to create and customize bone animation manually by using the joint and keyframe functions from E3DSurface.
