-Benchmarks
I have been testing the battery life on the E-200 for quite some time now, and I have not been impressed with my findings. In order to make the E-200 thinner, Casio used a much less powerful battery compared to their older Cassiopeia's. And as a result, the battery life has suffered greatly. In the E-1XX series PocketPC's Casio used a 1400mAh battery, but in the E-200 the battery is only 950mAh. Below I have prepared both an "extensive" battery life test, and a "lame" battery life test. Something of note about the E-200, however, is the fact that the batteries are exchangeable. So you could buy an extra if you are having problems with short battery life.
First off is the extensive test; this is where I subject myself to hours of gaming. I was playing everything off of internal memory with the backlight set to the first notch, I would have put the backlight higher, but the screen is so vibrant that all you need is one notch. The volume was set one notch below full blast; I used this setting because it is as loud as you can get without being scratchy. For the entire extent of my test, I only played two games, my favorites of course (mentioned earlier). My findings can be found below.

This next test is what I consider the "lame" test. I call it that, because it is unrealistic, and nobody actually uses their device like this. I include it because many other PPC reviews include a test similar to this, so that you can compare how the E-200 stacks up against the competition. This test consist of turning the backlight on the first notch, and just leaving it in that state until the battery runs out. This is most likely pretty similar to how Casio does it, when they tell you it last "8 hours."

I have also included a short list of programs that I think rock and deserve some publicity.

-Pro's Con's/ Overall thoughts
Okay, so you have listened to my ramblings about the good and bad for quite some time now. I will now attempt to summarize it all in a short pros/cons list.
| Pros |
Cons |
· One of the best looking screen's in a Pocket PC
· Innovative USB Host feature (through cradle)
· Buttons accept multi-press and are comfortable to use
· Feels very nice in your hand, good size/weight
· Two methods of expansion
· Great when used as a multimedia device |
· Some cases of a dust problem in screen
· Joypad issues
· Flimsy MultiMedia Card slot cover
· Quiet speaker
· Short battery life |
The Casio doesn't come without its issues, but what device does? For the most part it has fulfilled what I expect to see from Casio. Looking back at the line of previous Cassiopeia's I would say that it is a step forward. And it has now become my primary Pocket PC device.
