Toshiba E570 screen problems

Hi my friend has a E570 like myself and it has developed a fault, the screen has started to flicker on the right hand side about 1" wide and all the way down and appears to be showing the left hand side of the screen in the flickering area,has anyone seen this fault before? any advice would be appreciated

I had the same problem withmy laptop, few months ago. The most probable reason is a bad connection of the screen. I opened my laptop and corrected the connector. Now it doesn't happen... almost... If it happens, I just hit the cover lightly and it works fine [I am just too lazy to fix it again] :]
