Asus Screen Quality.

Asus Screen Quality.

Postby Ben The Rider » Mar 23, 2003 @ 1:36pm

I'm wondering what is the quality of the Asus A600 (Zayo)screen compared to other devices like the latest Ipaq or the Dell Axim.
Is there only a brightness difference or in the contrast also ?
Thanks.

Ben.

If James is correct (and I have no reason to believe otherwise as he seems quite knowledgeable), then the Asus screen is nowhere near as good as the latest offerings from Ipaq and Dell. These have a transflective screen and are absolutely a joy to behold.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.

But Asus is releasing new devices very soon, I'm sure these will use transflective displays like the iPaq and Dell devices currently utilize.

If you are not currently using a transreflective screen, it prolly won't make much of a difference. But if you are moving from one to the current Asus models...then it's possible you will not be pleased with the display. I for one have no qualms about the quality of my display on my Zayo. Looks superb to me. However, I have never owned an iPaq or Dell Axim.

That's what transflective is, a combination of transmorphous and reflective. *sigh*

Transmorphous? You mean transmissive? Transmorphous is an interesting word, though, I have to admit.

anamorphous is probably the correct term, but I wanted to use trans, so I just changed the word
