gzip compressed hexen.wad for pocket hexen?

oh, yes hexen again

) i just read that pocket hexen accepts a gzip compressed hexen.wad, so i tried it with gzip but ph refuses to take the new wad. what am i doing wrong?

Did you make sure it's in the right directory?

yes! i copied my compressed wad right into the directory of the uncompressed and deleted the big one. i also tried to rename it from hexen.wad.gz to hexen.wad or hexen.gz but nothing worked.

no, compressed wad support is stated in the official pocket hexen readme. (but no word on how to do it..)

HookyDookySpookyDonkey or whoever made the Hexen port has a special compression application that used to be on their website. You have to use it to compress the wads.

great. their page is dead. the files lost. even techmage doesn´t have this file on his page. so where to get it from??
