I've been having some problems with my 3955 and audio/video sync. After about five minutes of a video, the audio is up to five seconds ahead of the video. I'll try to let you know as much of what I'm going as possible, to cut down on advice that I've already tried.
I am following the guide, been doing this since my 3700, did it on my 1910 as well, didn't seem to have these problems on those devices. I'm using the latest vdub, the latest PocketMVP, DivX 5.0.5 (with all the settings set correctly, even the profile tab mentioned in threads earlier). In PocketMVP, I have the enable cache option checked, with the slider up 3/4 of the way.
I've tried several things to get it working. Decimating every third frame, setting the bitrate really low (had it at 200 like the guide said, tried it all the way down to 75), tried messing with audio bitrates, etc. Nothing seems to be helping.
Can anyone send some advice my way? I have DivX 5.0.2 and 4.1.2 and have reinstalled those a couple times to try encoding with older codecs, but I still get the same problem. Thanks in advance for your help.
*EDIT*
Does the file have to have the same name on first and second passes? When I am ready to save the first pass, I usually call the file Xfirstpass.avi. Then when that's done, the only thing I change in vdub is the video to second pass, then when I save as avi, I call it just X.avi. Does that make any difference?
