The wm2003 drivers for wifi (or any network cards) just drive me batty and make less sense by the way they are 'more integrated' into the OS; similar in fashion to windows xp. The OS tries to handle everything automagically, and more often than not, fails. If you are used to controlling your wifi/network card manually, through an app created by the manufacturer, you'll be quite frustrated by trying to get the damn thing connected by spending a lot of time in the connections menu.

I'm sorry, I know that wasn't very helpful; but I felt the same way you do when I was trying to get my belkin wifi to work with my asus in wm2003, after it working beautifully on all my 2002 OS devices... and I felt the need to vent.
