I have netzero as well. I hate their software more than anything in the world. I found a way to get around their software and just connect through a straight-up dial-up networking connection. It is some java program somewhere on the internet where you type in your netzero username and password, and it gives you a user name and password that you can use with a normal dial-up connection, hence by-passing their software all together. I recommend you use a similar solution.
