X30 won't be surpassed in speed: A620 was one of the first pxa255/wm2003 devices out, and was the fastest till the pxa27x. However, you're just guessing, you have no actual proof.

Dell hasn't had good speed on its previous handhelds. X3 is pretty quick, but not the X5, it's slow, even with non-buggy wm2003 update.
