ipaq won't switch on

ipaq won't switch on

Postby Ommadawn » Jun 23, 2004 @ 4:45am

I've an ipaq 1930, which until now has been working flawlessly (it get very heavy use, every day).

In the last week or so, it will now not switch on when I press the power button. There's plenty of charge, and I nmay have only turned it off a few minutes earlier, but it will not work again until I soft-reset it. This can happen from 1 to half a dozen times a day now, and it's becoming frustrating...

Has anyone else encountered this problem??? Help!

Well like every PDA problem, have you tried hard resetting, or perhaps disconnecting the battery and letting the battery back-up drain? I haven't had this problem myself, I did used to own an h1910 and had no problems, I'm just giving general PDA trouble-shooting procedures.

I'm not real keen on hard-restting the device if I can avoid it. I hope there's an alternative solution...

You really have to try that befor anything else with a problem like this. Hard resetting really isn't a big deal, especially if you back up your data.
