DVD to PPC: More than one VOB-file per DVD...?!

Yes 5 vob files is totaly normal. I have never seen a dvd with less than 3. Like ShapeShifter said the newest version of FlaskMpeg does not support encoding multiple Vob files at once, but there are ways to get around this without going back to the older(and slower) version of FlaskMpeg. For instance, we use this url=http://www.pocketmatrix.com/howto/newdvd/downloads/patch.zip]Patch[/url] on FlaskMpeg so it supports multiple vob files. Another way to do it would be using a seperate program to merge all of the Vobs into one big Vob file. As for the sound Im not sure what your doing wrong, try following our tutorial, you can find it by clicking the "how-to" link at the top of this page.

Matt, when I tried to encode Groundhog Day with the latest version of Flask, it<br>a) only opened 1 VOB<br>b) didn't make no sound<br>The earlier versions worked perfect. I think the author got some trouble with the DVD-industry...

What you guys are doing wrong with the sound I'm not sure about, but I use the version of FlaskMpeg as used in the tutorial and it works fine. As I said you need to install the patch to open more than one Vob file at once.

there's a plugin you can download from digital-digest or divx-digest called something like thunder.mism. It enables you to select files of type .ifo and so process the whole dvd at once.<br>try , it's called thunder.mism.zip<br><br>Lee

go to the howto.. download the "Patch" for the new version of flaskmpeg. It fixes that problem with only opening one vob.
